The tension arm keeps the roll snug even when I yank off a sheet with one hand, and the brass finish looks far more polished than the plastic one it replaced. It’s been three weeks and nothing’s loosened or scratched, which is exactly what I hoped for.

I’ve had cheap holders that wobble every time you tear a sheet, but this brass one feels solid and the tension arm keeps the roll perfectly snug. It’s also a nice touch that it blends into my countertop without looking like an appliance. Exactly what I wanted for everyday use.

The tension arm actually holds the roll steady when I tear off sheets one-handed, which is more than I can say for the last holder I had. Took me a minute to figure out the mount, but now it’s my favorite spot on the counter. The brass has a nice weight to it too.
